KCCA Curling Try-Out / Registration

Have you ever heard of the sport, curling?

You have vaguely heard about it but never had the chance to try it?

Never heard of curling until you read this post but would now like to learn more?

The Korean Canadian Cultural Association (KCCA) have organized a curling try-out event

on Sunday, April 8th in partnership with the World Curling Federation and Curling Canada.

During the Winter Olympics 2018 in PyeongChang, curling have gained a sudden and

booming popularity, especially in South Korea. For the first time ever, an Asian Team won a medal in the curling event. Up until now, curling has been a sport that have always been dominated by the North American and European teams. This monumental feat was accomplished by the South Korean Women’s Curling Team, affectionately dubbed as “Team Kim”, winning a silver medal and bringing a surge of interest toward a sport many South Koreans were unaware of.

Its popularity isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

That remains the case in Korea and it’s the same in the Canadian-Korean community, here in Toronto as well. That is why, the KCCA along with the World Curling Federation and Curling Canada have decided to organize this exciting event for not just Korean-Canadians, but for all Canadians in the community!
